Ariane Mühlethaler, née en 1987 en Suisse, a fait des études de lettres aux universités de Lausanne, Göttingen et Fribourg-en-Brisgau. Elle travaille en tant que chargée communication dans une entreprise de services du numérique à Göttingen, où elle habite avec sa famille. C’est dans les années 1990 qu’elle s’est emparée de la machine à écrire de sa maman pour taper la version initiale de ce qui allait devenir son premier album jeunesse : Geoffroy, le frigo qui a pris froid.
