Anna Maria Kuppe was born in the Rhineland/Germany. She spent her teenage years in the Ruhr area. There she completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. She has been living in the Rhineland again since 1978 and worked for a long time in the accounts department of a language school. She has been retired for a few years. The path to becoming an author was not easy: due to the great grief for her two beloved cats, who died in quick succession, Anna Maria Kuppe wrote down the stories she had experienced with her darlings. This is how her first book came about. Other children's books followed - initially in German. The main characters in these books are her favorites David and Dennis. In addition to the numerous children's books, novels were also published.
