The night sky shines brightest when we share it with the ones we love—making this heartwarming tale perfect for space dreamers and budding young astronauts!

Captain Milo is ready for liftoff, but Mom’s long to-do list delays the mission. Ever the problem-solver, Milo pitches in, hoping they can still watch the meteor storm together. With cozy illustrations and a tender parent–child bond, Milo’s Moonlight Mission celebrates imagination, perseverance, and the joy of slowing down. Back matter includes facts about the Leonid meteor shower and tips for young stargazers. Perfect for ages 4–8.

Kathleen Blasi writes books for young readers, including Hosea Plays On (illustrated by Shane W. Evans), A Name of Honor, and Are Organized Sports Better for Kids than Pickup Games? Active in the children’s writing community, she has served as Co-President of the Rochester Area Children’s Writers & Illustrators and as Co-Director of the Rochester Children’s Book Festival, for which she and her Co-Director received the 2015 New York State Reading Association Literacy Advocate Award. Kathleen lives in western New York, where she continues to write and enjoys nurturing the curiosity of young storytellers. Petronela Dostalova earned her MA in Children’s Book Illustration from the Cambridge School of Art, following studies in Fine Arts at the University of East Anglia. Her picture book The Reds and Greens was highly commended for the 2015 Creative Conscience Award, a project that promoted equality. With a Czech–Slovak–Hungarian background, Petronela has made her home in Suffolk, where she lives and works with her partner and their dog, Haribo. When she isn’t at her desk drawing, she loves traveling, cycling, and being near—or in—the water. She’s still dreaming of a way to combine her passion for art with her love of the outdoors.
