Jose and Reinette Palmer have years of experience teaching children who struggle with reading and spelling. José has more than 40 years’ experience teaching students with special needs and Reinette has 15 years’ experience in a variety of teaching areas. With the LEER MY LEES / LEARN TO READ series their aim is to teach children that reading is fun. This reading series with its colourful illustrations is not only fun to read, but also promotes vocabulary and comprehension. Zinelda McDonald is an artist living in Cape Town with her musician husband, Deon, and their two cats. She has her honours degree in Graphic Design from the North-West University’s Potchefstroom campus, and she illustrates mostly children’s books and designs covers for young adult novels. She has received several awards for her work (two ATKV Woordveertjies as well as an Exclusive Books / IBBY SA award in 2017).
