"Noot the Root Goot" is an early childhood Picture Book of 32 pages. Each illustration done in watercolor and colored pencils ignites the imagination of the child. Noot, the protagonist, is a leafy green plant creature with a fuzzy mustache and beard, he leads and oversees a community of creatures called rootlets that live underground in a beautiful, magical place called Rootaland. His challenge is to teach the rootlets life lessons. Noot makes a gallant effort to present four Cardinal virtues : prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance. The ultimate goal is for the rootlets to learn "Patience". "In an epic personification, this very important virtue is demonstrated and presented to the rootlets by the creator of the underground world, the Giant Leaf King."

Deep deep down underground in a place called Rootaland, lived Noot who was a Goot.
“What is a Goot?” asked, the young rootlets who also lived down underground. Noot answered, “ I am a leafy green plant creature with a fuzzy mustache and beard. I watch out for all the magic that happens below the soil.
Noot lived there with many rootlet seeds who were waiting to grow.
Even though it was mostly dark underground, Noot loved living there because he loved to see the magic that starts to happens below.
He had very special powers to grow the healthiest vines,
the most colorful flowers, and the tallest trees.
But Noot had to keep his special powers a secret from the rootlets for a while...
