Even though Nombulelo loves her Gogo's stories about the animals that live in the forest, she's too scared to go there. When Gogo dies, Nombulelo must summon her courage and take Gogo's magical moth on a journey through the forest. This is a story of love, loss and the discovery of inner strength.
This is the story of Nombulelo, who loves to listen to her grandmother tell stories about the forest next to their house. Imagining all the dangerous animals that live in the forest makes Nombulelo scared of entering it, but after her beloved Gogo passes away, Nombulelo has to summon her courage and go into the forest alone to fulfil her grandmother’s wishes. On her journey, she is accompanied by Gogo’s magical moth, who guides her and gives her strength to complete her journey. Through the moth, Nombulelo learns that that although her Gogo is no longer with her in person, her spirit is still very much alive.
