This resource was developed to support the 5,000+ Light parties and numerous alternative Halloween events. The narrative centres around the concept of darkness and light. The dark is scary but the light is stronger. How do we know this? Because 2,000 years ago Jesus came to rescue us from the darkness of our world and the darkness found within our own hearts. The story encourages children to call on the name of Jesus who is the light of the world and conclude with a prayer.

Catalina Echeverri is originally from Bogota, Colombia, and she speaks English, Spanish and Italian. She studied graphic design in Milan, Italy and completed an MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Arts (ARU). She loves to draw all of the time, and takes her sketchbook everywhere with her. she has written numerous titles, including There's a Dinosaur in my Bathtub. She was also shortlisted for the AOI Awards Children's Book category for 2014 and for the AOI Awards Personal Project in 2013.
