In the year 2006 four years had passed by again, and it was time for another Football World Cup competition. A planning group of Dortmund mulled over and agreed to find a way to show the guests that people in Germany are not only famous for their thoroughness and punctuality, but also have hilarity and humour. They themselves know that this is a fact, but now it would be important to make the visitors know it, too. The solution was that more than hundred rhinoceroses were needed. Colourful and cheerful they should be, giving a hint to there particular owners. Scattered all over the town, they should spread joy and happiness. The story tells about the friendship of one of these rhinoceroses and a housefly, which flied together to Nepal and had al lot of adventures.
During my participation of a presentation of art against female genital mutilation (FGM) in Dortmund, Museum am Ostwall, in the summer of 2013, I met Ulla Barreto, the chairwoman of the organisation TABU e. V. against FGM. She told me about current projects in Africa, suffering from permanent lack of English books. So my former wall book passed through a metamorphosis. First the text was changed into a form easier to understand for children and then the wall book design was changed into the conventional form of books in German language, which now is available. Further on the book was translated into the English language. After all the book will go on a journey to Africa to bring the story to the children of a school, built by TABU e. V. to serve them as a happy enjoyable story to read.
