After graduating from the Zagreb School of Applied Arts, Sanja studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, winning the Deans Award for Best Graduating Student 2001. In competition with over 40 artists in 2003, Sanja won the Grigor Vitez Award for Best Illustrator of Children's Books in Croatia, the youngest artist to win this award in its history. More than 25 of her picture books have been published internationally. Hannah Wilson graduated with a degree in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University and is a children's book editor.
