This volume aims to present a critical and interdisciplinary reflection on diversity and migration mainly grouped into three axes of work: research methodologies applied to these topics; discourse analysis in intersectional narratives; and, knowledge transference into plural societies. The process of globalization means that we are living in a context of cultural exchange, bringing people closer together, getting to know their life stories and creating new links. Cultural diversity is therefore a reality in most societies. However, for a successful intercultural context to really take place, it is necessary to acquire competencies that facilitate interaction and understanding in order to face the demands of the new intercultural context that is being created. Therefore, the studies that are part of this volume approach the analysis of diversity and migration from linguistic, literary, sociological, ideological, discursive, educational and pedagogical perspectives, among others.

Julia Haba-Osca is a tenured professor at the English and German Philology Department at the Universitat de València, researching Migrant Narratives and Education for the Development and Global Citizenship.
