The Vishnu Samhita sings of the Lord,
Whose cosmic presence none can afford.
It teaches rites with sacred care,
And guides the soul through temple prayer.
It speaks of yoga's tranquil way,
Where mind and breath in stillness stay.
Through mantra's sound the heart is freed,
To merge with Him in thought and deed.
The devotee's path is firm and bright,
With vows of truth and moral might.
By service pure, by love sincere,
The Lord of all is drawn more near.
Thus stands the text, a guiding star,
For seekers near and souls afar.
Its verses weave devotion's art,
And place Lord Vishnu in the heart.
Shri Vishnu Samhita Vol 1
श्री विष्णुसंहिता
Overview
The Vishnu Samhita, sacred and bright,
Guides the devotee in dharmic light;
A Vaishnava text of ritual and lore,
Preserving traditions from ages of yore.
It speaks of worship, of temple ways,
Of consecration, and festive days;
How images of Vishnu are made divine,
Through mantra, offering, and sacred sign.
The duties of priests are clearly shown,
With rules for conduct, pure and known;
From daily rites to seasonal prayer,
The Samhita teaches with utmost care.
It honors Vishnu, the cosmic Lord,
Whose grace and presence the hymns afford;
Through ritual acts, devotion grows,
And dharma’s river eternal flows.
Beyond mere ritual, wisdom shines,
Ethics and conduct in sacred lines;
The devotee learns both heart and hand,
To walk with Vishnu across the land.
Thus Vishnu Samhita, timeless and true,
Preserves Vaishnava dharma for me and you;
A scripture of practice, devotion, and song,
Guiding the faithful their whole life long.
