Editor Wendy Roy assembles a variety of investigations of Canada and the larger world, including studies of the use of apocalyptic and dystopian scenarios by Indigenous writers to revisit Canada s history of colonization. The varied contributions demonstrate that speculative writing can help us to see what is happening in the world around us and at the same time to re-envision it, to reconsider the consequences of our actions, and to imagine revised and perhaps better futures.
