Dieser vierte Band [nach MAB 4, 6 und 8] zum Burgwall von Lossow, Stadt Frankfurt / O., entstand als Berliner Masterarbeit. Die Untersuchung wurde möglich, als 2009 ca. 20 Kisten vermeintlicher Kriegsverluste im Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte in Berlin auftauchten. Die Arbeit gibt einen Einblick in die Methodik der damaligen Feldforschung und würdigt die wissenschaftliche Leistung des Ausgräbers. Der Grabungsablauf konnte anhand von Fotos, Plänen, Feldzeichnungen und Skizzen chronologisch rekonstruiert und das Inventarisierungssystem entschlüsselt werden. Somit konnten die Keramik, Fotos und Feldzeichnungen den Großflächen und Einzelflächen zugeordnet werden. Basierend darauf wurden rund 900, zu 58 % verzierte Scherben ausgewählt und in Anlehnung an MAB 8 detailliert bearbeitet. Über Girlandenverzierungen gelang es nachzuweisen, daß die Nutzung des Burgwalls bis in die früheisenzeitliche Göritzer Gruppe II reicht. Die hohe Befunddichte und rasch verfüllte Schächte entsprechen den Ergebnissen der aktuellen Ausgrabungen. Neben Keramik wie Schalen, Terrinen, Töpfe, Doppelkoni und Trinkgefäße liegen auch ein Tonrad, Webgewichte und Steinwerkzeuge vor.
This fourth volume [after MAB 4, 6 and 8] on the Lossow hillfort at Frankfurt / Oder was written as a masters thesis in Berlin. The study became possible when some 20 boxes of supposed war losses turned up at the Museum of Pre- and Protohistory in Berlin in 2009. The study provides an insight into the methodology of field research at that time and pays tribute to the scientific achievements of the excavator. The excavation process was chronologically reconstructed on the basis of photographs, plans, field drawings and sketches, and the inventory system was deciphered. This made it possible to assign the ceramics, photographs and field drawings to individual plots and sub-plots. Based on this, some 900 sherds, 58% of which were decorated, were selected and processed in detail in accordance with MAB 8. Garland decorations provided evidence that the hillfort continued in use until the Early Iron Age Göritz Group II. The high density of finds and rapidly filled shafts correspond to results of the current excavations. In addition to pottery such as bowls, tureens, pots, double cones and drinking vessels, a clay wheel, loom weights and stone tools were also found.
