If you are not rooted in prayer, awake and be ready to fight the battle of life. The enemy awaits you at every point you want to succeed. The enemy contends with your prosperity. THE LION IS HERE

The world is a battle ground; you don’t need to do anything before you are challenged to fight or engaged in one. We fight battles every day. We are soldiers of Christ every day. You don’t need to offend someone to be engaged in one. Prepare your mind for battle, you can’t dodge it. It is every day affair. This is the reason the book of 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” Lion is a deadly animal that is ready to kill. Lion prey on other animals and humans as well.

Before we go on I shall address who a spiritual lion is. He is a lion feared and awed by Satan. With him you are not alone. He is with you. He is a lion that is far powerful and dangerous than other lion. He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He is Jesus Christ. He gives hope, courage and ability to conquer and win. With him on your side you can’t be devoured.

Warfare is a necessary ingredient of development. If dark power sees your potential he comes in with strategy to attack. Your star infuriates him. He is loaded with destructive spirit. When Jesus was a baby, Herod was after him. It is not you alone Satan is after. Jesus passed through same destructive path.

Battles can be fought in absentia, or else, you will squarely face it. That of Jesus was fought by his parents in absentia. His parents escaped to Egypt. Devil fought the wind! There are battles you don’t wait to fight instead you leave the environment. It is not that you are afraid or you are a coward, but you apply the best strategy available.

Imagine, Herod wanted to kill a young baby, he ordered every child at age of two years below to go for it. You can imagine the number of babies killed! He created atmosphere of sorrow, tears and blood in the land. He didn’t care they are twenty, fifty or are in hundred. His spirit seeks blood, the blood of anger and jealousy. Because he wants to kill Jesus, he doesn’t care how it came about. This is how vicious warfare is.

There is the battle of celestial that consumes soul. This is a battle you fought not because you did anything, but you were born into this planet earth. That you were born means you have battle to fight. Since you are in this realm, you will fight battles. That is why you don’t run away from battle; you prepare your mind to it and learn the habit to fight before the battle begins. As long as you are on this planet earth you will fight. Satan believes he is the King and owner of this earth. Whoever chooses Jesus, is his enemy. And as it is said, two captains cannot be in a ship.

It is said, what happens on earth, first happen in the spirit. The earth is like a dumping ground of princess that engages us on earth. Adam did not know he is a man in trouble. The day he was created was the day his battle begins. His features completed the same day he was created. He talks, speaks and reason like adult. He can differentiate between good and bad. He called Eve by name and knew she was his forever partner. Despite this completeness, the serpent has his way to make him fall. This is to tell you the mastery of Satan. Don’t believe you are clever than him. He is a spirit of dark kingdom, cunning and destructive. “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall” 1 Corinthians 10:12. This is the situation we are. Prepare always for battle. In your sleep prepare for battle. In real life prepare for battle. Satan is ready for battle all the time!

The book of Revelation 12:12 says: “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea!, for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” Woe is a strong word in the spirit. It means war is declared. War is at hand! Be a soldier all the time. Prepare for war. It is not a hidden declaration. We all know it. You don’t bargain for war before it is declared! War is a replica of darkness. The earth is covered with darkness; you won’t overcome unless you are in the Lord. The fact is your glory will be tampered if you choose to be silent. The book of Isaiah 60:1-2 says it all. “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” Pray for God’s glory to be upon you so that you may rise and shine.

In revelation 12:12, it is said the deceiver has come. Adam did not know he will equip himself against deception until suddenly the serpent appeared on the scene. Adam is a man like us. He did not do anything wrong before the serpent came with question of destruction. “Did God really say, “You must not eat from any tree in the Garden?” This question brought Adam down, though he wasn’t the one that answered the question, all blames ended on his table. Eve answered the Serpent, but her husband went down with it. They never prepare for war that consumes them. Satan took the stage. The authority Adam has been withdrawn.

Adam became a victim in the battle of life. Know one thing, because you are a man you will fight many battles. You don’t need to do anything wrong before war appears in the corridor of your life. Wherever you are, you will fight many battles. In Africa, you will fight many battles. Do not say, “I was born free, I do not offend anybody”, it is a lie. You were born into a corrupt and polluted society. You must fight corruption, contend with poverty and destroy powers of witchcraft. It is a must! You don’t need to offend anybody before you fight. In Nigeria, you will contend with marginalization, because there is no structure that supports integrity or merit. There are battles you fight because you are in a particular region, state or nation. You fight battle of racial discrimination. You fight battle of tribal discrimination. You fight battle of gender discrimination. Everywhere and every time is battle.

The system is satanically organized to disfavor you, your race or gender. It is there before you were born. It is manipulated by princes of the earth. There is always battle for you to contend with. You are a victim of warfare and can’t sit on the fence. You are a victim not because you are guilty. You are a victim because you were born. You are a victim because you are not strong. You are a victim because you don’t prepare for the day of trouble.

The history of mankind tells much of warfare without contributing to it. When Daniel and others were taken to Babylon, they offended no one but were taken captive to a foreign land. They were ridiculed to sing the song of Zion on their way to Babylon.

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion”. Psalm 137:1-3. This is ridiculous.

Your intention may be defeated because of warfare. When Jacob and his household came to Egypt, it was a good intention. They never prepare for upcoming racial warfare. They came in majesty, welcomed as heroes but ended as servants in captivity. The environment turned against them. Their mouth was filled with lamentation, their eyes swelled with sorrow and their faces were full of shame. The situation was close to impossibility when they wanted to leave Egypt. They have battle to fight. The battle they never prepared for. It was a battle they never envisage or bargain. For their sake and the sake of God’s covenant with Abraham Egypt was judged. The first born sons of Egyptians died. This opened gateway to freedom. Do the children of Jacob cause problem in the land of Egypt before they passed through torturing hammer of Egyptians? No, it wasn’t so. They fought battles they never bargain for. Even in their present place of abode, battle is still on.

In every territory you have battles to fight. If you are in America, you have battles to fight. There are states you fight spirit of lust, some states are noted for gangsters, some genocide, some drug etc. As you enter such state, one battle or the other awaits you. There is no state or place without princes and principality in control. They flare if you refuse to bow to them. They attack to take a pound for unjust cause. It is terrible when principality decides your case. So if you are anywhere there is a kind of battle you will fight. Why this? There are princes who are interested in those territories. If you come to this territory to carry out business, academics or job you won’t succeed unless you bow to them. If you refuse to bow, you become a victim.

What may exonerate you from the battle is uprightness. No matter how good you are in the school of prayer, uprightness is important. It is not skill that exonerates, but obedience to the commandment of God. Disobedience brought the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden. Disobedience saw the fall of Saul from the throne of Israel. Disobedience saw the end of the man of God from Judah, a Lion devoured him. Disobedience is a capsule of downfall, a capsule of regret and shame. Your disobedience is a key of preservation in warfare of princes. When you disobey God, princes will swallow up and you will never fulfill your destiny. The power of princes is legalism. They don’t play with rules on ground; they follow it...
