Bay State Road is a collection of sermons offered during the twenty years of Robert Allan Hill's deanship at Boston University's Marsh Chapel. Some sermons reflect on milestones, such as the first time Hill preached at Marsh Chapel as its dean, his 2023 university baccalaureate address, and a remembrance of the grief following the 2013 bombing of the Boston Marathon. But most were preached on "regular" Sundays, whose very ordinariness is the canvas on which the extraordinary is made visible.
This volume contributes to the 2025 celebration of Marsh Chapel's seventy-fifth anniversary, which honors the chapel's historic legacy while readying the chapel for the seventy-five years ahead.

Autor

Robert Allan Hill is Dean of Marsh Chapel, Professor of New Testament and Pastoral Theology at Boston University, and the author of twenty books. Since 1981, he has taught at institutions including McGill University, Syracuse University, Lemoyne College, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, Northeastern Seminary, United Seminary, and in various church settings. His weekly sermon from Marsh Chapel can be heard on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. (EST) at bu.edu/chapel.
