This book explores sustainable development and resilience in Mediterranean landscapes, focusing on architecture, environmental management, and cultural heritage. It covers topics like temporary housing after disasters, restoration techniques, and building design for uncertain conditions. The book also looks at managing natural resources and adapting to climate change, including shoreline changes, solar energy impacts, and rising sea levels. Cultural landscapes are discussed through community involvement and heritage protection, while infrastructure topics include ecological changes, heat reduction in cities, and transport systems. It also examines how tourism and new technologies can support both the economy and the environment, along with ways to address land degradation and coastal risks. Overall, it offers a clear view of how sustainable and practical solutions can help improve and protect Mediterranean regions.
