Most of the articles in this volume are the result of a symposium held to celebrate the70th birthdays of Traugott Holtz and Nikolaus Walter. In accordance with the research in which both of them were engaged, these essays focus on the early Jewish surroundings of the New Testament, the Septuagint and the question of a biblical theology.
