Michael Halperin is accomplished across media, including film, theater, and books. He has written six books, including Jacob’s Rescue—a powerful tale that gently introduces children to the Holocaust. Halperin has also produced eight plays as well as film and television projects for companies such as 20th Century-Fox and Universal. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Southern California and a PhD in Film Studies from Union Institute & University. Halperin has been recognized with a National Endowment for the Humanities Writing Grant, a Writers Guild of America West Award, Award for Excellence in Playwriting by the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, and the DICE Award from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Science.
