This book combs the artistic achievements of major ethnic groups in various regions of the Silk Road, and comprehensively discusses the artistic creation of major Nomad in northern China and Siberia since the Neolithic and Bronze Age, with the goal of being scientific, comprehensive and exploratory. The overall investigation of Art history in the long river of macro geography and history shows the significance of cultural and artistic exchanges between East and West along the Silk Road, as well as the long history of ancient nomadic art on the grassland and the powerful northern style.
Aifeng Shen, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Arts, Soochow University, and head of the Department of Art History. He is also the deputy director and director of the Oriental Art Research Center at Soochow University. He mainly engages in teaching and research on ancient art history in Asia and Europe, as well as foreign art history. He also engages in oil painting creation and participates in art criticism work.
