अग्निं नरो दीधितिभिररण्योर्हस्तच्युती जनयन्त प्रशस्तम् ।

दूरेदृशं गृहपतिमथर्युम् ॥१॥

O Agni, shining bright and bold,

Through sacred flames, through wisdom told.

A guiding force, a mighty hand,

Through endless fate, through boundless land. [1]

तमग्निमस्ते वसवो न्यृण्वन्सुप्रतिचक्षमवसे कुतश्चित् ।

दक्षाय्यो यो दम आस नित्यः ॥२॥

The gods adorned him, fierce and bright,

Through cosmic might, through endless light.

He guards the home, he leads the way,

Through sacred fire, through boundless sway. [2]

प्रेद्धो अग्ने दीदिहि पुरो नोऽजस्रया सूर्म्या यविष्ठ ।

त्वां शश्वन्त उप यन्ति वाजाः ॥३॥

Rise, O Agni, shine with grace,

Through sacred glow, through endless space.

The warriors call upon your name,

Through cosmic fate, through battle’s flame. [3]

प्र ते अग्नयोऽग्निभ्यो वरं निः सुवीरासः शोशुचन्त द्युमन्तः ।

यत्रा नरः समासते सुजाताः ॥४॥

To Agni bright, the flames arise,

Through boundless might, through endless ties.

Where heroes stand, where victors call,

Through fearless fate, through echoes tall. [4]

दा नो अग्ने धिया रयिं सुवीरं स्वपत्यं सहस्य प्रशस्तम् ।

न यं यावा तरति यातुमावान् ॥५॥

Bestow upon us wealth untold,

Through sacred hands, through treasures old.

O Agni fierce, with wisdom high,

Through cosmic fate, through boundless sky. [5]

उप यमेति युवतिः सुदक्षं दोषा वस्तोर्हविष्मती घृताची ।

उप स्वैनमरमतिर्वसूयुः ॥६॥

The youthful dawn arrives anew,

Through sacred hands, through endless view.

With offerings pure, with wisdom bright,

Through cosmic fate, through sacred sight. [6]

विश्वा अग्नेऽप दहारातीर्येभिस्तपोभिरदहो जरूथम् ।

प्र निस्वरं चातयस्वामीवाम् ॥७॥

O Agni, burn away the ill,

Through sacred flames, through boundless will.

Let shadows fade, let wisdom shine,

Through fearless fate, through hands divine. [7]

आ यस्ते अग्न इधते अनीकं वसिष्ठ शुक्र दीदिवः पावक ।

उतो न एभि स्तवथैरिह स्याः ॥८॥

The flames rise high, with sacred glow,

Through endless might, through echoes flow.

O Agni bright, receive our hymn,

Through fearless hands, through wisdom dim. [8]

वि ये ते अग्ने भेजिरे अनीकं मर्ता नरः पित्र्यासः पुरुत्रा ।

उतो न एभिः सुमना इह स्याः ॥९॥

The warriors kneel, the sages call,

Through sacred hands, through echoes tall.

O Agni strong, let blessings rise,

Through cosmic fate, through endless ties. [9]

इमे नरो वृत्रहत्येषु शूरा विश्वा अदेवीरभि सन्तु मायाः ।

ये मे धियं पनयन्त प्रशस्ताम् ॥१०॥

The mighty ones, the fearless stand,

Through sacred fate, through guiding hand.

Let wisdom guard, let victors call,

Through fearless might, through echoes tall. [10]

मा शूने अग्ने नि षदाम नृणां माशेषसोऽवीरता परि त्वा ।

प्रजावतीषु दुर्यासु दुर्य ॥११॥

O Agni, lead us through the way,

Through sacred fire, through endless sway.

Let wisdom shine, let fortune grow,

Through fearless fate, through echoes flow. [11]

यमश्वी नित्यमुपयाति यज्ञं प्रजावन्तं स्वपत्यं क्षयं नः ।

स्वजन्मना शेषसा वावृधानम् ॥१२॥

May sacred rites forever stand,

Through cosmic fate, through guiding hand.

Let wisdom lead, let justice shine,

Through endless reign, through signs divine. [12]

पाहि नो अग्ने रक्षसो अजुष्टात्पाहि धूर्तेरररुषो अघायोः ।

त्वा युजा पृतनायूँरभि ष्याम् ॥१३॥

O Agni, guard us from the ill,

Through cosmic strength, through boundless will.

Let justice reign, let victory call,

Through fearless fate, through echoes tall. [13]

सेदग्निरग्नीँरत्यस्त्वन्यान्यत्र वाजी तनयो वीळुपाणिः ।

सहस्रपाथा अक्षरा समेति ॥१४॥

O Agni bright, with endless might,

Through fearless hands, through sacred light.

Through countless paths, through wisdom vast,

Through cosmic fate, through echoes past. [14]

सेदग्निर्यो वनुष्यतो निपाति समेद्धारमंहस उरुष्यात् ।

सुजातासः परि चरन्ति वीराः ॥१५॥

O Agni, strike the darkness deep,

Through sacred flames, through boundless sweep.

Let warriors bold walk through the way,

Through fearless fate, through endless sway. [15]

अयं सो अग्निराहुतः पुरुत्रा यमीशानः समिदिन्धे हविष्मान् ।

परि यमेत्यध्वरेषु होता ॥१६॥

O Agni bright, invoked in fire,

Through endless might, through sacred choir.

Let wisdom shine, let justice stand,

Through boundless fate, through guiding hand. [16]

त्वे अग्न आहवनानि भूरीशानास आ जुहुयाम नित्या ।

उभा कृण्वन्तो वहतू मियेधे ॥१७॥

O Agni fierce, in sacred rite,

Through endless glow, through boundless might.

Let wisdom guide, let victors call,

Through fearless fate, through echoes tall. [17]

इमो अग्ने वीततमानि हव्याजस्रो वक्षि देवतातिमच्छ ।

प्रति न ईं सुरभीणि व्यन्तु ॥१८॥

O Agni, take the prayers we bring,

Through endless fate, through echoes ring.

Let fortune shine, let wisdom rise,

Through boundless grace, through sacred ties. [18]

मा नो अग्नेऽवीरते परा दा दुर्वाससेऽमतये मा नो अस्यै ।

मा नः क्षुधे मा रक्षस ऋतावो मा नो दमे मा वन आ जुहूर्थाः ॥१९॥

O Agni bright, protect us well,

Through cosmic fate, through wisdom’s spell.

Let hunger fade, let foes retreat,

Through fearless grace, through echoes meet. [19]

नू मे ब्रह्माण्यग्न उच्छशाधि त्वं देव मघवद्भ्यः सुषूदः ।

रातौ स्यामोभयास आ ते यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥२०॥

O Agni, hear this sacred call,

Through cosmic might, through echoes tall.

May fortune shine, may wisdom grow,

Through boundless fate, through endless flow. [20]

त्वमग्ने सुहवो रण्वसंदृक्सुदीती सूनो सहसो दिदीहि ।

मा त्वे सचा तनये नित्य आ धङ्मा वीरो अस्मन्नर्यो वि दासीत् ॥२१॥

O Agni bright, through fearless reign,

Through endless fate, through sacred gain.

Through boundless grace, through guiding hand. [21]

मा नो अग्ने दुर्भृतये सचैषु देवेद्धेष्वग्निषु प्र वोचः ।

मा ते अस्मान्दुर्मतयो भृमाच्चिद्देवस्य सूनो सहसो नशन्त ॥२२॥
