Eka Avaliani is a Professor of History and Director of the Multidisciplinary Research Center at International Black Sea University (Tbilisi, Georgia). She is also a doctor of Historical Sciences and the author of three monographs, three textbooks, and more than fifty articles on Ancient studies. Her field of interest is broad, including Imperial studies, ancient urbanism, and archaeology.
