The volume contains 13 papers presented at the 42nd archaeological conference of Lower Bavaria in 2024, a foreword, a bibliography, and a list of authors. The articles deal with Neolithic earthworks near Mangolding [Saile, Posselt, Reitmaier], settlements of the Middle Neolithic and the Latène Period in Spitzlberg [Richter], Bell Beaker graves at Langenamming [Fiedler] and Otzing [Beckh], a major excavation near Straßkirchen [Husty], Alpine elk hunting of the Late Iron Age near Lenggries [Häck], iron votives from the pilgrimage church of St. Leonhard in Aigen am Inn [Biederer], the archaeology of Medieval town foundations in Bavaria [Haberstroh], the monitoring of pipe laying in the town centre of Landshut [Denk, Fischer], the archaeology of the Wittelsbach towns of Dingolfing and Landau a. d. Isar [Eibl, Lorenz], the earlier Medieval building phases of Straubing-Pfarrplatz [Bösze, Hempelmann], investigations in the foreland of the western city moat of Deggendorf [Piller] as well as settlement features from the historic city centre of Passau between the Late Latène and the High Middle Ages [Dupper].
