Trey Tucker is a counselor and experienced mental health expert who draws on powerful principles from his own life and from client success stories in Tough Enough to help young men create habits that lead to happiness, discover their purpose, understand the true meaning of strength, and step into the best version of themselves.
Do you feel like you've reached manhood, but you're not sure what it means to actually be a man? Trey Tucker is the guide you need to become who you were meant to be--thriving, strong, and successful despite everything life throws at you.

In today's world, young men are up against a lot: constant distraction, jabs at self-confidence and self-worth, and pressure to put on a fake appearance and pretend everything is fine. But if you pretend, you will lose yourself--who you are and who you want to be, what you want from life and work, and how you can help yourself and others.

There is a better way.

In his signature no-nonsense approach, Trey Tucker--a counselor and experienced mental health expert--draws on powerful principles from his own life and from client success stories to guide you in creating habits that lead to happiness, to discovering your purpose, to understanding the true meaning of strength, and to stepping into the best version of yourself. With straightforward tips and takeaways to put into practice starting today, Tough Enough will help you:

Pursue and sustain the mindset and habits required for success
Gain the emotional strength necessary for self-reflection
Identify the injuries that are holding you back
Develop the resilience to navigate life's challenges
Improve your relationships with peers and partners
Tackle fears head-on, without running away

You can change the trajectory of your life. Examining who you are and what you want is the key to charting a path toward a successful, flourishing life.

Trey Tucker is a mental health expert and social media standout with more than one million followers on TikTok and 300,000 on Instagram. He is the founder and owner of Rugged Counseling, known for providing “therapy without the fluff.” Trey is known for his straight talk; his motto is, “Change comes by getting to the root of the issue.” People engage with his counseling and watch his videos in the hundreds of thousands because they connect with this direct approach, which skips much of the flowery language that often accompanies counseling and gets down to the heart of the matter to unlock powerful transformation. His video content on social media taps into themes like childhood trauma, independent thinking, victim roles, and keys to better boundaries, garnering hundreds of thousands to millions of views. As a counselor with more than a decade of experience, Trey holds specialized training in areas such as anxiety, trauma, relationship communication, sports psychology, identity, and purpose. He is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and neurofeedback. Trey has training in Christian counseling as well. Before becoming a therapist, Trey worked in corporate marketing, and he holds a Master of Business Administration. Before earning his master’s degree in psychology, Trey began noticing patterns that prohibited individuals and organizations from reaching their full potential, and he helped correct limiting and destructive thinking and behaviors. That instinct and experience, combined with his clinical psychological training, gives Trey a unique ability to help people find solutions quickly. Additionally, Trey serves as associate director of the counseling center at McCallie School in Chattanooga, a nationally recognized boys’ school for day and boarding students, where he also teaches English. McCallie School’s distinguished roster of alumni includes Jon Meacham and Ted Turner. At the school and in his private counseling practice, Trey has earned a reputation for successfully breaking through to young men from their teens into their late thirties.
