Originally published in 1960, the early history of news-gathering, of advertisement blocks and displayed advertising, of women’s magazine, are among the varied aspects of the London printing trade discussed in this book. P. M. (Phyllis Margaret) Handover (1923–1974) was, at the time of original publication, a member of staff of The Times, she was also known as a lecturer and contributor of articles on the history and technique of printing.
