The Pulpit Pal began as my private journal of biblical information because I lacked bible knowledge. Over time, my journal grew from a few pages of helpful information into a notable tool that caught the attention and interest of others. In my attempt to make my journal more appealing, I was touched by the Spirit of the Lord to be a blessing to others who, like me, struggled from a lack of biblical expertise in the word of God and the need for spot-on information. The Pulpit Pal books contain a basic view of biblical information that is extremely useful for avid students of the bible and anyone who loves the word of God.

Rev. Gary J. Linton has served the Lord Jesus Christ for 39 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in University Studies from Southern Illinois University and his Master of Theological Studies from Dallas Baptist University. He has also extended his studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and Bishop College School of Religion in Dallas, Texas. Rev. Gary J Linton has served in Pastoral Care positions in several ministries throughout his ministerial career.
The Pulpit Pal began as my private journal of bible information because I lacked biblical knowledge. In my attempt to make my journal more appealing, I was touched by the Spirit of God to be a blessing to others who, like me, struggled with a lack of biblical expertise in the word of God and the need for spot-on information. The Pulpit Pal is a book that contains a basic overview of biblical information that is extremely useful for avid students of the bible and anyone who loves the word of God. The Pulpit Pal 2 is a powerful literary source of biblical information designed for bible studies, daily devotions, and quick referencing of traditional bible events and characters. Book two is a more comprehensive and extensive revision of book one, for I've added much more insight into the Psalms, Proverbs, Revelation, and Paul's missionary journeys. In the Psalms, there are more intricate details to illuminate the mental and emotional despair of the Psalmist as they look to God for their comfort, protection, and provisions. Paul and the missionaries carried the Gospel of Christ to every possible part of their known world, and the places, events, and people of interest deserved a greater understanding of the importance of their work to Christianity.

CONGREGATIONAL CARE
CHARGE TO THE CONGREGATION
______________________________________
I charge __________ Congregation to let the principles and mindset of Jesus Christ become the foundation of your fundamental by laws and rules that govern this church.
I charge ___________ Congregation to be a community of blood-bought, born again believers filled with compassion, encouragement, a passion for people, love, kindness, and generosity.
I charge ___________ Congregation to be a church that understands its role and contribution to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his plans of Salvation and Redemption for the whole world.
I charge ___________ Congregation to be a church that displays respect and godly regards for the Pastor, his family, and his spiritual gifts. May the officers, members, and all ministries birth in this church assume the same spirit of love and respect.
I charge ___________ Congregation to be a church that will religiously observe without fail: the sacraments and ordinances of the New Testament Church, the preservation of the Holy word of God, and the proof and power of the resurrection of our Savior.
Matthew 16:18
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Acts 1:8
8 and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 2:42-47
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
BELIEVER’S BAPTISMS
__________________________
Mark 16:16
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved,
but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Matthew 3:4-6
4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
Matthew 3:13-17
13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 21:25
25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
Mark 11:29-32
29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed
Mark 16: 16
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Luke 7:28-29
28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
Luke 20:3-5
3 And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:
4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?
John 1:23-26
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said theprophet Esaias.
24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.
25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
John 3:23
23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
John 10:39-42
39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.
42 And many believed on him there.
Acts 9:17-18
17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
Acts 10:37-38
37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Acts 18:24-25
24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
Baptism and Repentance
__________________________
Matthew 3:5-8
5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Matthew 3:11
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. But he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Matthew 9:12-13
12 But when Jesus heard that, he...
