Born in New Zealand and educated in Australia, Minogue is the author of: The Liberal Mind (1963); Nationalism (1967); The Concept of a University (1974); Alien Powers -- The Pure Theory of Ideology (1985); and, Politics -- A Very Short Introduction (1995). Minogue has lectured at major universities and research institutes world-wide.
