The book touches on several understudied aspects that are crucial to contextualize the publication of Le Capital from its inception until its completion, revealing its previously understated connections with other intellectual output from Marx, as well as its enduring significance for future editions of Capital, volume I.

Kenneth Hemmerechts, Ph.D. (1983), Vrije Universiteit Brussel, is a post-doctoral researcher. He is currently working in the field of the sociology of education. Previously, he has worked at different universities in Belgium on a variety of topics, including: migration, criminal recidivism, fraud, police capacity, employment and trade unionism, genocide and social theory. Nohemi Jocabeth Echeverría Vicente, Ph.D. (1986), Vrije Universiteit Brussel, is a post-doctoral researcher. Her research focuses on peace education in violent contexts. She holds a Master in Politics with specialization in International Relations from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India and a Bachelor in International Relations from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Mexico.
