Tibetans call their cherished tradition of Buddhism a "wish-fulfilling jewel tree" for its power to generate bliss and enlightenment within all who absorb its teachings. This path to enlightenment, it is taught, requires more than a sitting meditation practice alone. With The Jewel Tree of Tibet, respected scholar and author Robert Thurman, Ph.D.,
Time magazine calls him “one of the 25 most influential people in America.” He is a prolific translator and author, an enthralling public speaker, a tireless advocate of the Tibetan people, and the first Westerner to be ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. With The Jewel Tree of Tibet: The Enlightenment Engine of Tibetan Buddhism, Robert Thurman makes available his first complete learning course on audio. According to its lineage holders, Tibetan Buddhism is “a wish-fulfilling gem tree” that offers the gifts of enlightenment and happiness to all who seek it. Now, in twelve detailed sessions, listeners have the opportunity to join this acclaimed scholar and practitioner to learn the core teachings of this vast lineage. Includes many authentic meditations and traditional practices.
