The research in the book systematically addresses most of the Genizah fragments from Cambridge University Library (CUL), the Taylor Schechter Collection, Old Series Box F, that refer to sugyot from Tractate Eruvin in the Babylonian Talmud.
This book thoroughly examines Genizah fragments of Tractate Eruvin in the Babylonian Talmud from Cambridge University Library's Taylor Schechter collection. While previous research has focused on cataloging and categorizing the fragments and providing short, generalized descriptions, this study systematically explores whether the versions in the Genizah fragments contain significant differences compared to the print and manuscript versions of Tractate Eruvin. It also aims to note these differences and to investigate to what degree they affect or change our understanding of sugyot from Tractate Eruvin in light of the comparison between the Genizah version and the print version.

Prof. Uri Zur is Associate Professor of Jewish Studies at Ariel University, in the Department of Jewish Heritage. His major interests are the redaction of sugyot, the tripartite structure, textual grounding of Halakha, Genizah studies, and the Aramaic language. Prof. Zur has served as Head of the Department of Jewish Heritage at Ariel University (2008-2010) and as co-editor of the journal Moreshet Israel (2008-2012), and continues to serve as member of the board of journal. In 2018, he was awarded the Aminoah Prize of 2018 for his book The tripartite structure of the Sugyot: Studies in Tractate Eruvin of the Babylonian Talmud (Ariel: Ariel University Press, 2016). He is also the author of: Orr Israel, Sugyot in Tractate Eruvin (Lod: Habermann Institute for Literary Research, 1999); Studies in Tractate Eruvin of the Talmud Bavli: Structure, Language, Redaction, and Halakha (Boston: Academic Studies Press, 2019); and Studies in tractate Eruvin of the Babylonian Talmud: Redaction, Halakha, and Exegesis (Haifa: Shaanan College Press, 2020).
