Allowing genital mutilation to be practiced in any part of the universe is to say that civilization that was fought for by our ancestors has no relevance in today’s realism.

The human body should always be respected and kept whole – especially for the fact that it is known biblically that we are created in the image of the Almighty God and should not be tampered with under any condition or circumstance just to please the interests of certain class of people hiding behind the rhetoric of cultures and customs only in self-realization of their personal satisfaction.

Nothing can compare to the way our children and women are being relegated to the punishment emanating from this inhuman gesture.

To continue allowing this treacherous ancient act being meted on humans in the 21st Century – is to make irrelevant and a thing of mockery the entire purpose behind civilization.
