Preceding the full, colorful tales is a detailed introduction on the creation of the adventurous Don Winslow. The character served to foster recruitment and entertain Navy personnel and the general public alike during World War II and beyond. Winslow fights the Axis and supervillains like The Snake and the attractive, but deadly, Singapore Sal.

Craig Yoe was previously the Creative Director/Vice President General Manager of Jim Henson's Muppets and a creative director for Disney and Nickelodeon. He is a multiple Eisner Award winner and winner of the Mobius, a Ghastly Normanton Award Winner, The Jerry Bails Award for Excellence in The Pursuit Of The Essence Of Comic Fandom, the Inkpot Award for Excellence in Comic Arts, and winner of a Society of Illustrators Gold Medal.
