John Galt was a Scottish novelist, entrepreneur, and political and social commentator. Robert P. Irvine is Reader in the Department of Scottish Literature at the University of Edinburgh, UK. He is the editor of the scholarly edition of Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice (2020) and John Galt, Annals of the Parish (EUP, 2020).
