Luis H. Castañeda is Assistant Professor of Spanish at Middlebury College, Vermont, USA. His publications include Comunidades efímeras. Grupos de vanguardia y neovanguardia en la novela hispanoamericana del siglo XX (2015), as well as a number of critical articles devoted to the fictional representation of authorship in Spanish American and Spanish literature, concentrating on the institutional and political role of (neo)avant-garde aesthetic communities. Javier González is Assistant Professor of Spanish at California State University-Channel Islands, USA. His academic research explores the intersections of rock music, literature, and counter-cultural identity in 20th century Latin America. Dr González has published several articles and presented numerous papers related to these topics, and is also interested in Latin American cultural studies, the Latin American graphic novel, philosophy, and jazz.
