Bev Woodger was a teacher throughout his working life and on his retirement he became a volunteer guide at Dunster Castle with the National Trust. Inevitably this led him to examine the history of the area in more detail and dissatisfied with some of the more romantic versions on offer he set about analysing the truth. His first book in 2006 was well received and this encouraged him to write this new and fuller account.
