He teaches and publishes primarily on applied linguistics, intercultural communication, language policy and planning and higher education policy, particularly regarding the teaching of foreign languages. He is the author of Evolving Agendas in European English-Medium Higher Education: Inter-culturality, Multilingualism and Language Policy (2016).
