Marinela Burada is Associate Professor at Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania, where she teaches courses in Linguistics, English Morphosyntax, Academic Literacy, and Lexicography. She has conducted research in fields such as contact linguistics, lexicography, and contrastive rhetoric. She has published a number of articles and books, including a monographic study on the role of Latin in the historical development of English (in Romanian) and Rhetorical Features in Student Persuasive Writing, an exploration of the specificities of academic composition in keeping with the ecology of writing.Oana Tatu is Associate Professor at Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania, and has a PhD in Linguistics. Her research and professional interests fall within the scope of literary translation, applied linguistics, and Renaissance English literature, and have materialised in several publications in these fields, including Translating Shakespeare: The Challenge of the Romanian Language. She has also co-organized the Conference on British and American Studies, an academic forum hosted by Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania, since 2011.Raluca Sinu is Senior Lecturer at Transilvania University of Braşov, Romania. She holds a PhD in Linguistics, and is the author and co-author of articles and books in fields such as audiovisual translation, applied linguistics, and lexicography. Her book Humour in Film Subtitling represents an investigation into the strategies Romanian translators employ in dealing with linguistic and extralinguistic humour. Since 2011, she has also co-organized the Conference on British and American Studies.
