JOHN FRANCIS BURKE, PHD, is an author and scholar in political science and religious studies. He has taught at Texas State University, Delta State University, the University of Houston-Downtown, the University of St. Thomas, Texas, Cabrini College, and St. Mary’s Seminary, Houston, Texas. He has extensive experience dealing with social justice and intercultural issues at the parish level, especially from his many years in Texas. In particular, he has a facility for cultivating multi-cultural/multilingual church choirs.
