This volume is a thematical analysis of the largest wisdom writing from Qumran, 4QInstruction. It seeks to assist understanding of the sapiential traditions in the biblical and post-biblical period, and the relationship between sapiential and apocalyptic streams in early Judaism.

Andrea Strazzoni, Ph.D. (Erasmus University Rotterdam, 2015), is Marie-Curie fellow at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He has published monographs and articles on the history of early modern philosophy and science, and editions of primary sources.
