Diese Dissertation liefert erstmals ein ressourcentheoretisches Modell zu Übergangschancen von Ausbildungsstellenbewerbern. Der komplexe Vorgang des Überganggeschehens wird aufgezeigt - die übergangsrelevanten Ressourcen werden erläutert und systematisch analysiert. Which resources are required in order to enable young people successfully to master the transition to vocational education and training? In order to reply to this question, the present author uses her dissertation to develop a theoretical resources model of the transition from school to VET which maps the entire complexity of the transitional system. A representative survey of young people displaying apprenticeship entry maturity who were registered with the Federal Employment Agency as training place applicants in 2008 serves as the basis for demonstrating that resources relevant to transition are ultimately determined by the general prevailing institutional conditions.
