Map of Ireland originally published in 1611 by John Speed, digitally re-mastered from an antique original and printed onto photographic quality media. Supplied flat in a polypropylene sleeve and back board, the 16" x 12" (approx. 406 mm x 305 mm) print can be removed from the protective sleeve for framing or retained in the sleeve.
The provinces of Ireland, and the counties that they comprise of, are marked, as well as towns, rivers, loughs and accompanying islands. Parts of Wales and Scotland, and the Isle of Man are shown along with their major towns,and the West Ocean, Irish Sea and "Dunbritan Fyrth" are also named. Along the left hand side of the map, underneath the title, are depictions of the men and women of Ireland: the Gentle folk, the Civil folk and the "Wild" folk! This would make the perfect present for anyone with an Irish link.
