Map of Westmoreland originally published in 1611 by John Speed, digitally re-mastered from an antique original and printed onto photographic quality media. Supplied flat in a polypropylene sleeve and back board, the 16" x 12" (approx. 406 mm x 305 mm) print can be removed from the protective sleeve for framing or retained in the sleeve.
A birds' eye view of Kendal, together with a legend, is illustrated in the top left corner, and in the bottom left corner are four armorial devices of the Earls of Westmorland. All the forests, hills and rivers of this county are marked, along with its villages, estates and castles. In the bottom right hand corner of the map is a compass and scale of miles and above that is a beautifully illustrated title, which finish off this wonderful piece of artwork.
