Map of Cambridgeshire originally published in 1611 by John Speed, digitally re-mastered from an antique original and printed onto photographic quality media. Supplied flat in a polypropylene sleeve and back board, the 16" x 12" (approx. 406 mm x 305 mm) print can be removed from the protective sleeve for framing or retained in the sleeve.
A birds' eye view of Cambridge is illustrated, with all the colleges of the time included. Keeping with the university theme, four scholars have been portrayed, and the coats of arms of the colleges are depicted running around the sides of the map. At the bottom are the armorial devices of the Earls of Cambridge, together with the royal coat of arms making a total of 26 coats of arms on this lovely piece of artwork.
