Map of Cheshire originally published in 1611 by John Speed, digitally re-mastered from an antique original and printed onto photographic quality media. Supplied flat in a polypropylene sleeve and back board, the 20" x 16" (approx. 508 mm x 406 mm) print can be removed from the protective sleeve for framing or retained in the sleeve.
In the top centre of the map is a bird's eye view of Chester, along with a legend and illustrations of four Roman coins, which portray the city's origins. Running along the left hand side of the map are seven examples of the armorial devices of the Earls of Chester. The Royal Forests of Delamere and Macclesfield, along with the nearby Three Shires Stones, are marked on the map. All of the county's hills, rivers, windmills and settlements of the time are also shown.
