She obtained a post doctorate from University of California in San Francisco (UCSF) in the Department of Family Health Nursing under the direction of Dr. Susan Kools. Dr. Linnard-Palmer is a tenured professor at Dominican University of California in Marin County teaching pediatrics, research and pharmacology. Shecontinues her clinical practice as a pediatric oncology nurse coordinator for Stanford University, Lucille Packard Children's Hospital and pediatric staff nurse at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Linnard-Palmer's program of research centers around safety, medication and medical error reduction, illumination of Power Distance, simulation safety education and cultural/religious influences to medical treatment refusal or limitation in pediatric health care. Dr. Linnard-Palmer enjoysaccompanying her students abroad to discover how health care is administered in various countries including Costa Rica, Spain and Uganda.
