This first book on nanohydrogels for biomedical applications is unique in discussing recent advancements in the field, resulting in a comprehensive, well-structured overview of nanocomposite and nanohydrogel materials. The first chapter introduces the two types of materials and their recent developments, while subsequent chapters discuss the synthesis and characterization, as well as their applications in biotechnological and biomedical fields. Finally, the book concludes with the outlook regarding future technology advances. An essential reference for researchers and academics in chemistry, pharmacy, microbiology, materials science and biomedical engineering.

Mohammad Jawaid is associate professor at the Biocomposite Technology Laboratory, Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP), Universiti Putra Malaysia, in Malaysia as well as visiting professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia since June 2013.
