Case histories form the basis of clinical medicine and those presented in this book reflect the accumulated obstetric and gynaecological experience of the authors. The cases cover virtually all common obstetric and gynaecological disorders and also include a number of clinical curiosities. It is unlikely that any student whether undergraduate or postgraduate will see the full range of clinical problems that are presented in this book while in training and therefore should serve to complement both clinical experience and the information contained in traditional textbooks. Each case has been selected to entertain and educate the reader and to stimulate thought about diagnosis and management. This book provides reading for all undergraduate and postgraduate students, especially those preparing for clinical and oral examinations, such as the DRCOG and MRCOG.
