This book provides an insightful legal perspective of the BRICS countries and scholars, making up for the lack of English literature on the legal research of the BRICS.

Tao Du is the Dean and Professor at the International Law School of the East China University of Political Science and Law, as well as the Executive Dean of the Institute of BRICS Legal Studies. He is the associate member of Académie internationale de droit comparé, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Private International Law, Executive Director of the Centre for Proof of Foreign Law, and Director of the Research Centre (ECUPL) for International Judicial Assistance of the Supreme People’s Court of China. He is author of many books and articles about international law and comparative law. Xiuyan Fei is an Associate Professor at the International Law School and Director of South Asian Studies at the Institute of BRICS Legal Studies, East China University of Political Science and Law. Dr. Fei obtained her PhD in law from the University College Dublin with full scholarship under the State Scholarship Fund of China and visited the Law School of the New York University from 2011 to 2012 as a visiting doctoral researcher. Her research interests include international economic law, arbitration and mediation, and AI law.
