This book brings together two research papers on rural women's participation in agroecology (in Latin America) and water management (in rural communities in Nicaragua). The aim is to highlight both the contributions of women in these fields and the constraints that may hinder their empowerment. It also proposes some avenues of reflection to overcome the obstacles and strengthen women's processes.

With a diploma of specialized studies in Development Cooperation, I have a professional and life experience of more than 14 years in countries of the South. I worked mainly on issues such as sustainable food systems and food sovereignty, gender, empowerment of indigenous women in UN Women (Quito) and OXFAM Solidaridad.
