Dr Jhareswar Maiti, Suresh & Vidya Nair Chair Professor, is the former head and professor of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. He is the Founder Chairman of the Center of Excellence on Safety Engineering and Analytics (CoE-SEA) at IIT Kharagpur since July 2020 and has developed its academics with PhD, MS and 2-year MTech programs. He has also developed the Safety Analytics and Virtual Reality Lab at IIT Kharagpur. His research interests include safety engineering, management & analytics, human factors and ergonomics, risk assessment and uncertainty modelling, quality management, and AI/ML/VR applications in safety. He authored the text book on "Multivariate Statistical Modeling in Engineering and Management". With more than 200 publications in the international journals and conferences of repute, Dr Maiti is the recipient of several national and international awards such as P C Mahalanobis distinguished educator award and IEOM outstanding professor of occupational safety and health award. Mamata Jenamani is a professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, specializing in E-Business. With a research focus spanning auctions, recommender systems, social network analysis, consumer review analysis, and digital supply chain management, she has authored over 100 journal and conference publications in these areas. She has also led numerous sponsored and consulting projects, driving innovation and practical applications. As the head of an E-Business Center of Excellence, she has played a key role promoting research, industry collaboration, and technological advancements in the field. Dr. Sri Krishna Kumar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. He received his PhD from Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University, UK in the area of virtual enterprise collaboration. His expertise includes, Supply Chain Management, Port Logistics, Knowledge Management, Game Theory and Optimization and published few good articles in the journal like International Journal of Production Research, Computers in Industry, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Annals of Operations Research, and Journal of Engineering Manufacture. Dr. Balagopal G. Menon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He obtained his B.Tech degree in Production Engineering from University of Calicut, Kerala; Master’s degree in Engineering Statistics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala; and PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management from IIT Kharagpur. Dr. Menon was a postdoctoral fellow at Energy Institute, University of Texas at Austin, USA, and Salford Business School, University of Salford, UK. His areas of interest include operations management, simulation, system dynamics and policy planning, applied multivariate statistical analysis, statistical design of experiments and econometric modeling of systems. He is an editorial board member of the Springer journal “Energy Efficiency”. Dr. Anand Jacob Abraham is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. He completed his BTech in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calicut, his MTech in Industrial Engineering and Management from National Institute of Technology Calicut, and his PhD in Management Studies from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. Anand’s main areas of research are resource economics, cooperative game theory, and pricing problems in supply chain management. Dr. Anand received the Indian Economics Association medal in 2022. His research has been published in prestigious journals such as Mathematical Social Sciences and Economics Letters.
