The author is a retired registered nurse, and a collector of miniature chairs for thirty-five years. She established a Guinness World Record in 2008 for 3,000 miniature chairs, (not doll furniture), opened a miniature chair museum, to exhibit the collection in 2009, (Collectible & Antique Chair Gallery), and authored several publications with her collection. The collection and museum have received national and international recognition with magazines, newspapers, book, travel websites, interviews with NPR radio and PBS TV. She maintains membership with the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, the Author's Guild, Georgia Association of Museums, and the Small Museum Association.
